One would be grateful for being snatched away from the hands of death, but none of those people were El Wray. He was ready to let his life go, despite the fact that he would be leaving behind someone that was more important to him then anything. Truthfully, his actions would have never changed. The male had charged in and rescued Cherry from being shot in the back by an infected army guy, and he was perfectly fine with the outcome. As he layed their dying on the pavement in pain, El Wray was content that his Polomita was alive. It was better that way then the other way around. He wasn't sure what he would have done exactly if the tables were turned. All he knew was that nothing would look pretty any longer. Even though he would be gone, Cherry wouldn't be alone exactly because he never missed during any situation. If he aimed, it would hit the target no matter what.
However, there he was walking around some resort and given the occupation of security. El Wray wasn't going to do some pathetic job or give gratitude for saving his life. Not a chance. That was never going to happen in a million years, even if that Peterson bastard begged for such verbal words. One thing he wasn't going to stand for was being halfly ignored by Cherry. He had responded to one of her post and recieved nothing in return. Maybe it was just shocked that he was around still and he didn't help by making things seem as though everything wasn't different. Sure, their surroundings were beyond different and he had acted as though he never recieved bullets through his chest and legs, but that was how El Wray responded to situations. It took him a while to even admit some of the feelings that he had for Cherry, which a small piece was revealed when he had given her a new gun for a leg.
It didn't help that some truth spell, or whatever it was exactly called, was floating all over the place. That didn't sit well with him at all, especially since he yelled out exactly how he felt about the constant nagging a customer had been giving him. There was only so much that he could take and keep his calm demenor. Most of the time, that was the case, but something compelled him to release that anger verbally towards the man. Of course, there had been some bickering back and forth, which should ended with El Wray as the victor, he finally was left alone to set out exactly what he had walked to the other side of the resort for.
Cherry. If she wasn't going to give her time to write to him through posts, especially when he sorta asked to see her in person, El Wray was going straight to her. To Against the World. Hopefully, she remembered their motto and would at least talk to him a little bit. God, he missed her and every flying fuck that came through her full lips. Not many guys would allow themselves to be spoken to by their women in such a way, but El Wray almost encouraged such language from her. In truth, he really did like it, so there was no point in asking her to choose her words carefully, like he would towards another before making an attempt to force the other person in listening to him.
El Wray quickly learned that Cherry had been placed in the gift shop, which almost amused him. It was clear to him that she wasn't the type of girl to be working in such an enviroment and not get excessively bored of the position or obtain a large group of on lookers. Not that he had anything to be jealous about. She barely let anyone into life closely. Besides, he was definietly sure that her mouth would scare just about anyone away.
