She was tired of the mundane, the typical prancing around on the stage singing her heart out. Rachel always made more money than she did. She wasn't envious, Heather knew Rachel was a better singer. But she'd be damned if she didn't have better stage presence. She wasn't cocky. She wasn't afraid to sell herself. She lost her inhibitions on the stage, or when she preformed. She was't the blushing sweet girl. She was outgoing. And loud. She wasn't sure where she tucked this 'other person' when she wasn't on stage.
Regardless of all that she was going to try something different tonight. Inspired by Coyote Ugly, having watched it figuring she wasn't going to run into anyone from that movie, and Dukes of Hazard. She wasn't called Legs for nothing. Why not strut what she knew she had? Jean shorts cut short enough they'd make Daisey jealous, Red cowboy boots, decorated dainty feet. A ripped Harley Davidson teeshirt showed off her midriff, but hid the scar she was most self conscious of. She curled her hair into thick sausage curls. Topping it with a straw cowboy hat.
As the beginning strumming of 'These boots were made for walking' (The Jessica Simpson version rather than the Nancy Sinatra), Heather stepped up onto one stool followed by another, before she stepped up onto the bar top. "Are you ready boots? Start walkin'" She stomped along the top of the bar. Mic hidden in the fabric of her shirt.
"Yee Haw!" She shouted over the crowd as she turned to face them. And was quite pleased when she got one back.
