"Yeah," she wouldn't lie, he'd know if she did. "All I knew was something happened to you, and then... You weren't here. I know just enough about the time and space of this place to know you weren't gone for good. Or I had hoped you weren't." She admitted, what she wouldn't voice was the doubt that she'd had. The ache she had been preparing herself for. She squeezed his fingers lightly.
She figured there were a few 'someone else's, but she didn't doubt this someone else had done a number on him too. She nodded slightly. "I'd be more naive than I appear if I didn't figure that part out. I'm sorry she hurt you." How many times had she come close to doing just that? There was no doubt, by her tone, that she meant every word. Part of her wanted to go kick the girls ass. But that was where her loyalty lay. And if she ever go the chance it would be a knock down drag out fight, no cat fight crap. That little spark of anger wasn't easy to hide in her eyes.
