There wasn't much for Anna to do at this point except gasp in pain, writhe on the bed, black out. She shifted to try and relieve the pressure and only made it worse as her clothes pulled and tugged where they were burnt and matted to the flesh of her back. Johan whimpered beside her, nudging her hand but the most he got was an instinctive twitch of her hand against his nose. Somewhere under the mess of pain and fear, Anna realized Johan had protected her, realized that he was here to continue to do so despite what he was, and maybe somewhere in her subconscious she realized why, that it was Crowley's orders. But at this point she couldn't think past "ow" and "why won't the pain stop" and "I'm going to die from this".
