Summary: Albus Severus wakes up in Putus Village highly confused and wondering what was in the sleeping draught because this is certainly the strangest dream he has ever had.
Status: Incomplete
It generally took Albus a bit of time to wake up from a sleeping draught. He had been careful this time, knowing that his team was depending on him to be up and ready for the big match against Gryffindor but even he knew that sleeping draught made him sleep like the dead. Still, it wasn’t odd for him to over sleep, waking to his best mate Scorpius hexing him out of bed or to the panic of realizing that once again he was late and he had over slept. So, it was with this general state of panic that Al woke up to, seeing an unfamiliar house elf leaning over his bed. He jumped up with a start, the elf’s words barely registering.
"Welcome to Putus Village! It's the village that lives and thrives on pure magic! Right now, you are in your new home which you may personalize to your liking with what is available in the village. Putus village should offer you everything you need for your magical and every day necessities. You may petition for what you like with the Putus council, but do not petition to go back. Putus Village is your home now." With a pop, the creature disappears.
Wait, what had the elf said? Al looked around him and noticed he wasn’t in his dorm any longer. This wasn’t his bed – this wasn’t hi room and he didn’t see any sign of his housemates anywhere. “Scor?” he called out, figuring that this was a prank being pulled on him. It would be funny once the joke was over. “Scor, where are you?”
The house echoed with his voice, making him feel extremely alone. Something was very wrong here. “Scorpius!” he called again. “Bran? Gabe? Bloody hell, you guys, this isn’t funny!”
He hopped out of bed and looked at the tiny table next to him, relieved to see his wand there. He picked it up quickly, feeling anxious that none of his friends were answering him. Sure, they had all played a prank on each other now and again but this – this was a bit over the top. He walked through the empty house, noticing that no part of it looked familiar in the least. His steps moved faster until he was practically running, reaching for the front door.
“I’m going to brain you,” he threatened, figuring someone was on the other side of the door. He turned the knob and opened the door only to find a crisp, clear morning on a largely populated street. Al stepped out of the townhouse, shivering as his barefeet hit the pavement but he was too shocked to realize he was only in his pajamas. He was a long way from Hogwarts, it seemed.
“Well,” he said to himself as he looked at the street in amazement. “Bugger me.”
