RP: And I will try to fix you...
Date: December 14, year one (morning)
Characters: Malachi, Lavender, and Evie (NPC)
Location: Malachi and Lavender's place
Public/Private: Private
Summary: They are still dealing with the aftermath.
Status: Incomplete
Malachi placed some strawberries in front of Evie in her high chair. She didn't seem to be having any ill effects to Lavender's change, but then again, he wasn't sure she understood any of it either. It was rather easy for her to see Lavender now as another person entirely, not the woman who wanted her to call her Mommy or the woman who had held, comforted, and played with her the last few months, trying to bond with her.
Malachi wasn't having such an easy time. He looked at Lavender now and rather than wanting his "wife" back as he had all these months, he just wanted his Lavender back. He just wanted the woman he loved, the woman who looked like a woman and he was allowed to be in love with. He wasn't allowed to be in love with a twelve-year-old. It was rather disheartening to him. They now slept in separate bedrooms as he requested despite wanting desperately to sleep in the same room and bed with her all this time. But there was just something wrong to him about sleeping with her in his body. He couldn't help it. He loved her as much as he ever did, but he wasn't going there. Maybe if they couldn't reserve it they'd have to deal with it, but for now, he was just holding out hope this wasn't for long. He wasn't sure what they'd do later.
He wasn't sure he was doing the right now. He loved her, wanted to be there for her, but part of him just couldn't. Not like this. Not now. It was an impossible situation and he knew he was hurting her with any distance he put between them. He had no way of fixing that. He had no way of fixing her.
Frowning at the strawberries, he tried to put it out of his mind for the moment.
