Cormac could see he hurt her with his words. She wasn't trying to show it, masking it with angry and frustration, but he knew her well enough. There was no way the words couldn't have hurt her. There was no way that this could go down any other way.
He glared at her. "You gave him the idea, the ammo to think that. You did that. He might have jumped to the fucking conclusions, but it was your words - your betrayal - that brought him there. I'm not just going to ignore that you started it all."
