For the most part, Tilly liked to think that she was pretty honest with herself when it came to her abilities. She was proud of her skills, and she knew where her challenges were. What's more, she rarely was afraid to admit where these areas were. Granted, some were harder than others, such as right now. The whole dating thing was a fairly new concept to her. It wasn't like she hadn't been on dates before, but they were few and far in between and never really went anywhere. It wasn't even like she was terribly upset by it either. Tilly accepted it was what it was and really didn't worry about it. That is until now. And maybe worried wasn't the right word, no, more anxious maybe? Anyway, truth was, this was the first person that she wanted to do more than just a few dates with. Max meant something to her, and had for a good long while now.
Which is why she took the time to think out activities they could do together while the weather was still nice. She wasn't opposed to home dates at all, in fact, games and films were quite fun. It was more that she didn't want it to...get boring. Tilly thought maybe this was a bit irrational on her end, and did her best to ignore it as she was sure it was brought on simply from the whole experience being new. And okay, yeah, maybe she wanted to show that she was putting effort into things as well. So when talking with Seren and how she'd gone with Aly and Steve a while ago, she couldn't help but think it might be fun to take Max. So she did her research, found a good place, scouted the area for local food places that might appeal to both of them all well in advance of the actual date. Honestly, she blamed the wolf for that one. Wanting to make sure the area was safe.
Turns out she was pretty bad at it. While still nimble wristed, there was a shocking amount to relearn when it came to the new strength, causing her to having to fish her brightly colored ball out of more than one bush. But to her credit, after that first time she started to laugh at herself. "Al-mo-st go-t it- there!" she proclaimed at the half-way point picking up the ball and standing up wiping dirt from the sleeve of her simple shirt. "You know, might have to quit my job and be a professional retriever." Tilly joked scratching at the back of her head, then realizing how very lame that joke was on another level and shook her head at herself.
