Hey, all! I'm stoked for the game starting! Also a n00b at mythology-type-games, so be gentle!

I'm Vic, and there's not all that much to know about me except I use smileys far too often, and slip into caps when they're uncalled for. AS DEMONSTRATED HERE.

My pup here is Hades. He's... chill. And a strange member of the family, in that he can be pretty uptight sometimes. Being the God of the Dead and the Underworld, etc. etc. has made as upbeat as you'd someone with that kind of job to be. And he's a lot more mature than the way I come off, I swear.

If you feel like hitting me up for plot, or a chat, or would just like someone to bother, don't hesitate to ping me at righthorrorshow on AIM. :3 I'd really like to get talking with everyone, if at the very least just to get our stories straight when there are so many different versions of myths out there!

Hello, my name is Dattatreya. I am bringing you the tragically cursed Daphne. Although at least she is no longer a tree. She was struck by one of Eros's shafts, but it was one to repel, not one to fall in love. So she's our resident Asexual. She is also a forsworn Virgin. I am not sure how we are doing it in game, but oath-breakers used to be severely punished in Grecian Myths. Daphne is also a nymph, a naiad - not one of the immortal types, naiads were simply long lived, but she was given eternal youth by Apollo (albeit while as a tree, but some things carry over). Daphne is mighty confused at this moment, so this ought to be some fun. I've never played in a Mythological game so I have tons of questions! Also, I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with about plot with my character.

Anyways, hi all, I'm Krystal and I'll be handling Hera here at argivehera as well as Circe over at dreadgoddess.

Hera is Queen of the Gods, wife of Zeus, and the Goddess of Women and Marriage. She's also mother to Ares, Hephaestus, Eris, Hebe, and Eileithyia. She's generally known as a jealous shrew, which, granted, she kind of is, but that's only because Zeus can't keep it in his pants. She has her good qualities, too, though, which include a fierce loyalty to her loved ones, a sharp mind, and the fact that she's a force to be reckoned with in her own right-not just because she's Zeus' wife.

Circe, on the other hand, is no member of the Parthenon, but that doesn't mean she lacks importance. She's the daughter of the sun god, Helios, and the Oceanid, Perse; plus, she is a powerful sorceress in her own right. She's best known for her role in The Odyssey, where, when Odysseus and his crew show up on her island, Aeaea, she turns his men into pigs(awesome, right?). Oh, and I'm totally going with the version of myth that has her having a son by him, just fyi. It's all in my profile.

To end this little introduction, I'll just say that I'm up for any and all kinds of plotting, so just hit me up if you think of something! (:

With a total of nine characters, I think we can officially open the community and get started! Feel free to put up threads or have your characters make journal entries whenever you’re ready to jump in. I’m going to be fairly laid back on activity during the first month of the game, to give everyone a chance to settle in and get comfortable. The gods and goddesses that are not in play have not YET returned but those who have been picked up are free to make themselves known at any given time. If you have questions, feel free to throw them out there and I’ll do my best to answer them for you!
