Facility: Gwen & Jason
Who: Gwen & Jason
What: Returning "home"
Where: Area-52, Dragon Lab
When: Immediately after the train ride
Warnings/Rating: Nope
Gwen didn't have any formal attire. When she'd slipped out of the facility (for only the second time in ever) to attend the train party, she'd been largely unsure she'd even be allowed to board the train at all. She owned her medical scrubs, and there were numerous sweaters she'd acquired during her six months of literal consciousness, but that was all, and she didn't have a dress or nice shoes, as required by the invitation. But she'd managed to sneak onto the train without notice, and that meant she didn't need to worry about getting out of any telling attire now that she'd sneaked back into the facility.
She wore a sweater over her white scrubs, and her sneakers skidded on the basement floor.
Gwen's way out involved going down into the Dragon area basement in the facility, and then crawling out a forgotten drain pipe and out to the water drainage area just beyond the facility itself. It allowed her to bypass the security fences, and her handler had cleared the path for her a few months after arriving in Repose. He'd even gone so far as to point out a small window in the security grid, one that was small enough for a young girl to slip through easily. So, now, she was back into the basement itself, and she shushed her shoes and then took off for the stairwell up, as if she hadn't been doing anything weird. She was totally just sightseeing. She was allowed to come and go from her room, as long as she stayed within the confines of the laboratory space. She even helped in non-Dragon labs, so it wouldn't be weird for anyone to see her wandering around at night. She was totally loyal, and everyone knew that, so it wasn't like she was trying to escape.
She wasn't going to help anyone else escape, either. She'd offered to help that other girl, and that girl had just gone and told strangers about it. If the Dragon knew Gwen had a way out, then she'd lose that way out, and she kind of liked the freedom to sneak out; she didn't want to lose it because that girl didn't know how to keep a secret.
She hopped out of the stairwell and her white sneakers squeaked as she stepped onto the hall that housed her room. Nearly there, and she tucked her blonde hair up into a ponytail using a tiny bit of sage ribbon she'd taken from one of the train's bathrooms. Her nose was cold, and her cheeks were red from the walk back, but she totally thought she was home free.
