Re: No. 12: Meredith & Connie
Flowers. Flowers everywhere. Red and gold and stretching up towards the sun with their bright petals, and they were so inviting. Just like Connie, Meredith was stepping forward, stooping to touch the petals, soft and velvety beneath her fingertips, and she was kneeling, breathing in the soft scent they held.
"I didn't either, but I wish I had before." Her voice was easy and dreamy, and the world and all of its troubles seemed so very far away. Troubles? What were those, anyways? What was there to worry about? The flowers, that's all she cared about just then, and with a laugh, Meredith shifted and rolled onto her back, arms and legs splayed out, the flowers embracing her warmly. "I like this a lot." Slow and easy, that was her voice, the words lazy and flowing.
