No. 12: Meredith & Connie
"Everything is-" Connie blinked because instead of the sun setting, it felt like it was rising. Higher and higher into the sky went that perfect orb of light that didn't even hurt to stare into. Time was slowly inching backwards, a power she never managed to have, and it filled the air with warmth. Blink, blink. She took a step forward to see a giant field full of red and gold poppies that stretched from their toes all the way into the distance towards a beautiful green castle that would take an entire day to travel to.
She didn't know they were called poppies actually. Not that she didn't know poppies existed, she just couldn't remember the last time she saw- what kind of flowers were these again?
"Wow. This is- wow." Connie took a step forward into the shining sun and meadow of bright flowers. The ground below felt inviting, so she sank to her knees and gently touched the petals. "I didn't know there was a place like this-" What was the name of their town again? It was on the tip of her tongue. R-something. Re-. Oh, who really cared? "Here."
