Re: [No. 24 to No. 12: Iris & Sam]
"Sam?" It came out as a whisper when things continued to look strange to Iris. She kept going in the same direction as Sam, looking at the neon sign(??) of the police station. Since when did police stations have neon signs? It was wrong. Wrong. And just with that thought, there was a buzzing building at the back of her mind, like the neon sign had taken up residence in her head.
The buzzing kept getting louder, but she did her best to look calm, nodding and following along, heading for whatever door would lead them upstairs (how could the police station have a neon sign). In the next moment, the fact that id didn't make sense was chased from her mind as a field of flowers opened up in front of them. Even in the dark, she could see their bright color, the way the scent of them hung heady over the field.
Another step, a breath that almost ended in a cough, but that suddenly didn't matter. It was... okay. More than okay, it was good. Things were going to be alright. She watched as Sam twirled and fell, and she smiled to see it. And then... she laughed. Light and easy, and she hurried over to drop, cross-legged, into the flowers at Sam's side. She grinned down at her sister, smile wide, folding her legs as easily as kindergarten storytime. "Maybe Manning will show up too and I can introduce you." She reached out and made her fingers 'walk' over Sam's shoulder, fingertips as 'feet'. And her words were quiet, but more because they were sitting close instead of her being unsure about them.
