Re: Down the rabbit hole: Ben & Parker
This was PJ's home town and if there was some kind of event she was damn well going to participate, even if it was some random egg hunt that had never happened before. Well egg hunts had happened before. When she was about 7. But she didn't see no damn Easter Bunny showing up at this event. She was mostly curious. Half terrified she'd run into someone she knew, but also hoping she ran into someone she might actually like.
She dodged her way through people, she smiled and hugged where necessary, and was stopped a time or two, so it took a bit to get to where she thought she might run into her partner. Ben. Not a local. Cool. She had the added benefit of knowing this place like the back of her hand, the added benefit of having a wonderful sense of direction, and the added benefit of being super fun. Lucky Ben.
She was dressed casually, having just come from the fill-up station, her grey jacket, with PJ embroidered on the lapel her warm coat for the evening. It had a few grease stains here and there, but she'd managed to get out of her coveralls at least. And of course, she'd put on her bunny ears. Because - well - she'd put on her bunny ears.
When she found her partner she waved, smiling a wide smile. "Hello there, Ben. I'm PJ."
