Regardless of how hard he tried, awareness of those around them drifted in - these two pairing off, another two while one worried about home, another who was worried about their wife. He did not breathe in deeply as one who was accustomed to breathing might, but sighed, his eyes blinking closed behind the cover of his tinted lenses.
"Mmm," he said as if that was an answer and focused this time, felt those tendrils of awareness coming off the other man and gave - what was for him - a smile (though it was more a minute movement of lips upwards). "I know you're curious, but trust me when I say you don't want to." The words were not poison, they didn't carry with them an inherent threat, but the promise of someone who knew it might be a little too much for Ronan.
"And yes, that is correct, Ronan." His adopted name did not stutter clumsily over his tongue, and for that he earned a small measure of Élan's respect. "Shall we go? Or do you wish to make that phone call?"
