Re: [#19]: Liam & Seven
Panic might have bubbled in his gut, but Liam held it together. He didn't run, and he certainly didn't hide, but that didn't mean he had the answers or knew what to do. Something clung to him, heavy and trying to drag him down, but he refused to bend to it. No, his concern was more for the man at his side, the one who lurched to his knees and scrabbled at his back with desperate hands that couldn't quite reach.
"I don't know. I can't- I can't see it very well!" But despite not knowing, he pulled and tugged and tried to help, tried to pull that thing off. But it was determined and Liam wasn't strong enough. Running seemed to be the best bet. Maybe a nest had been disturbed. Maybe they had simply pissed something off by being too close, and they just needed to leave in order for everything to be back the way it was.
But night was drawing near and the flashlights were dropped, and Liam, he had to make a decision. So he pulled on Seven's arm, hard and almost rough, and with a hissed command, he tugged the other man along.
"Run!"
He had no idea where they'd go, what they'd do, but running seemed better than standing still, than letting something drag them down, down to the ground where god knows what lurked. Running was, at least, doing something, and that seemed best.
