Re: Registration: Meredith & Connie
She was brimming with energy, a buzz beneath her skin that hadn't faded since she had first got her sight back. It felt like some high, like drugs, maybe, but Meredith had to figure this was better because she hadn't come down yet. She took another drink of hot chocolate, swearing to herself that it tasted better than it ever had before, and maybe it really was better now.
But then a girl was waving, white hair, flowers tangled in the strands, and Meredith, she couldn't help but grin in response, lifting a hand to wave right back, just like they were old friends reunited. "I'm Meredith!" she chirped in response, though the name tag surely told that story for her, and she was laughing, the energy boosting her up further. The cup was managed in one hand and she grinned, toothy and warm. "Did you just read my mind? Because I know I could go for a hug right now too."
And Meredith did just that. She hugged the other girl nice and tight, keeping the cup upright so as not to spill. It felt good to feel like this, Meredith thought as she straightened, pushing her hair back behind her ears and away from her face. "So. Now that we got that out of the way, you think we wanna grab a basket or something and get on the road?"
