Who Gabe and Day Where Day's Office, LBJ Library What Gabe just got here, nobody knows him because someone is gone When Forward dated to 10/5, as soon as Gabe arrives
The journey had been long and Gabe was exhausted, but he wasn't exactly out of the woods yet. He'd gone to the place Babs had told him to go to, but so far nobody had bothered answering his questions. As he was led to an office, he had a sneaking suspicion that Babs wasn't going to be the one meeting him there. He was told to wait, and wait he did. He wasn't about to argue if he wanted to stay there and get the help he needed. He couldn't keep doing this on his own, but his pride wouldn't allow him to utter the words "I need help". Instead, he acted far more gracious than usual, complying with any orders he was given and staying put with his hands in view of the guard.
He was left alone for a moment so that he could survey the room. The office wasn't overly impressive, but it was a far cry from the lab he'd managed to escape from. He felt anxious being separated from his weapons and supplies, but Babs seemed to trust these people, so he might as well trust them too. Of course, he'd been given the option, but it didn't sound like an option when he'd been told he could "store" his things.
For now, Gabe took a seat in a chair and waited as patiently as possible. He tapped his feet a little and fidgeted with his hands, but otherwise remained put until a woman (who was decidedly not Babs) walked through the door.
