Ezra scrubbed an arm over his forehead, red from sunburn. After living in the tunnels for as long as they had, his skin wasn't used to soaking up so much daylight, and he didn't have any sunscreen. Or knew if it was even still good, should he happen to find some.
He looked confused at her invitation. It was a true puzzlement that had him looking at her like she was some strange angel that he hadn't known existed, and that wasn't actually that far from the truth. Coming from Ghoul territory - it was incredibly easy to forget that not everyone had the nature of a rabid animal. His mind wanted to drift to Emilie, and just how much she was consumed by the savage, but he did his best to shut down that line of thought before it got going.
"You'd do that for me?" he asked. "But you don't know me. What if I'm dangerous?" He wasn't putting off a vibe that he was threatening her, because he wasn't.
