She knew reality was threatening to ruin the moment they'd found together any minute now. In another life, one where they'd reunited after a couple months' time apart because of something mundane -- summer vacation, maybe, or study abroad -- she would've had the luxury of free time with which she could enjoy how comforting it was to feel him against her, someone she could be close to without worrying. But they didn't have that, did they?
Either way, she was glad she'd reached out to him again, even after all that time that had passed. Hellhound or not, she still wanted Josh in her life. And he was still the same Josh, even if the crew he ran with, well. They terrified her. But that was why she'd contacted him, wasn't it? Somehow, she'd known she could rely on him still, even if she needed things more serious than proofreading for her labs.
Olivia mimicked his motions, turning her head to press her ear against his chest as she looked around at the empty hall. "I guess so," she said, biting her lip and trying not to laugh at his little joke about her feeling him up. (Or maybe she'd wanted to suppress the smile that'd threatened to appear at that cute little head kiss of his.) She didn't hesitate before she took his hand in hers, though. "Let's keep going and see if we find anything else."
