Bishop gives a nod when his name is offered up, his gaze never leaving the skinny girl with the big eyes. Soon more questions are being tossed out at her and and he’s listening with finely tuned ears, waiting for a tone or a misstep in her words to give him the cause he needs in go voicing his concerns about this junkie. She went up against Sarge and from all accounts it sounds like she didn’t bat an eye when faced with him. Either this girl has a death wish, or she has plans to go taking out Hellhounds. His money is on the latter and that’s what has him leery of her. There wasn’t enough evidence yet for Bishop to go pulling Rodeo aside and voicing his misgivings - that’s not something you do simply on a ‘gut’ feeling. Her answers would reveal more - Bishop was just waiting for something to trigger a warning bell, give him a true reason to pull the Dog King aside and kill this deal.
Because you can’t act on something simply because of a look or a feeling. He’s also wholly aware that Rodeo may not be in a place to go making the final call on this. That’s why he’s here though, to do what the Dog King can’t today. Not while his mind's on the fact that Sarge could be facing down a death sentence. It's becoming obvious to him that Rodeo's feeling some sort of sympathy for the girl, and that's concerning. Not everyone can be saved - and this girl might just fall into that category.
“Maybe she doesn't think clearly, I've heard Prax can do that to a person.” Bishop interjects. He’s got his reasons, if he can poke at Emilie enough maybe she’ll show her true colors and prove she’s more of a danger to them than she’s letting on.
