Who: Axe and OPEN Where: The Dog Park. What: After cleansing himself from his latest round with the Ghouls Kyle is just taking it easy for a bit. When: June 10th, 2018. Evening, which means, bonfire.
Cartel. Mob. Crazy. And more crazy. In the end Axe did not imagine it would ultimately make all that much difference who came up on top of the Ghouls although he would count it a personal shame if and when he had to put a bullet into the Italian chick. He had never particularly thought of himself as a man with any sort of skill for spycraft but with his acceptance of his Secretary patch and the duties that came along with it, he saw it as something of an absolute necessity. Because while it would have been pretty easy to set up a network of informers throughout Austin, particularly among the Ghouls with the amount of Prax he could get his hands on, nothing would ever trump what his own eyes and ears could see and hear.
Of course there was also the matter of having to potentially pull a trigger on the very people he had grown close to, enemy or not. It was a burden that Axe was not willing to make anyone else shoulder, both on account of dealing with any guilt (personally, he slept well at night regardless) and having the guts to do what needed to be done, when it needed to be done, without hesitation. With Sister Slaughter he had been hands off in actual physical downfall of the man, but sooner or later he would inevitably have to get his hands bloody and in so doing reveal his true color. He could do it, he knew, but he was not about to ask anyone else to for him until the time came when he no longer had a choice.
For now though Axe put as much of those thoughts out of his mind as he could as he reclined in a lawn chair near the fire. He had spent an hour with his signature weapon and a whet stone to keep it razor sharp, as well as having occasional small talk with his brothers and various flirtations with some of the camp women. There was no telling where the night would lead him but for the moment he was simply content to be back in the park where he belonged.
