"That's fine," Lita said, extending her palms outward in a gesture of acceptance. She didn't need him anymore naked than he had to be.
"I'm just going to poke at your knee for a bit so if I jostle anything loose and you're in pain, just say. Or, you know, scream. I don't want to do an X-Ray unless I absolutely have to. You know, budget cuts."
Resources were always tight, even in the hospital where it was regulated by the government. It was a lot of battlefield dressings and bandaids going on injuries that required better. It wasn't good medicine, but it would have to do. Besides, just on looks alone, Lita doubted he's be out of commission for too long.
She starts examining the area, giving the injury her attention, but found herself wondering how someone so important to the city and, probably, to the country at large ended up so banged up.
"So, how did the Wizard of Austin end up on a roof instead of in my waiting room on Saturday? I would've thought they had you on 24 hour surveillance."
