Who Ginny Weasley and Kevin Entwhistle
Where Hogsmeade - Three Broomsticks
What Butterbeer and plotting.
When January 31st - Early Afternoon
Rating Low Mostly
Status Ongoing

Finally freedom - or a type of freedom that was managed and controlled by the watchful eyes of adult wizards. Ginny’s visit to Hogsmeade was surprisingly busy with meeting up with her family, helping out Luna (with the resources she had) and meeting up with friends. Overall, it was a good visit - despite what one might think. Shivering slightly, Ginny made her way to the Three Broomstick where she had promised to meet up with Kevin. Apparently he had something interesting to share with her and she wasn’t going to pass up the change for any information he might possess.

Looking around before she headed inside, maybe he had entered where it was warm. And indeed it was warm inside the Three Broomsticks and slightly crowded. There were other students spread around with their own posse. Wrinkling her nose slightly as she didn’t see him and figured she was the first. Instead she walked up to the bar and ordered two Butterbeers and paid for them. Turning towards the seats she found one in the far corner - hopefully she wouldn’t be overlooked.

Setting down the two butterbeers before taking off her scarf, jacket and gloves and took a seat. She lifted the bottle to her lips and took a sip, if only she could have one of these everyday.

Kevin was running a little late to meet Ginny. Just because this was their chance at temporary freedom didn't actually mean they were free. The problems that existed for Kevin within the castle didn't just vanish when they went to Hogsmeade. Luckily for Kevin, most of the other students were just as happy as him to get out of the castle, and seemed content with ignoring his entire existence.

Finding Ginny's red hair in the crowd at the Three Broomsticks wasn't hard to do. He saw her in the back corner and immediately headed toward her. He side stepped who he could, and wiggled his way past who he couldn't, until he'd finally reached the table. "Sorry," he said, unwinding his scarf, and wrestling off his gloves. "I ran into a little.." Kevin shrugged a little, shrugging the rest of the sentence away. "Sorry I'm late," he amended, taking a seat at the table. Kevin had a way of apologizing, and looking genuinely happy to be there at the same time, without making the apology look any less genuine for it.

"Say no more. Just sit and have a drink." Ginny pushed his butterbeer towards him. "Besides I just got here about a two minutes ago. So you aren't that late." She smirked at him. Kevin was the only Slytherin that Ginny got along with - surprisingly. It was probably that he was an outcast in his own house but they hit it off. It was Kevin that changed Ginny's minds that not every single Slytherin was bad - at least one of them was okay in her book.

"So tell me about the thing you couldn't tell me before and wanted to wait until Hogsmeade. I cannot be kept in suspense any longer. I might burst." The red head leaned in towards him. "Tell me, please." Putting on her most innocent look she could muster.

The Slytherin house as a whole tended to dislike the Weasleys on principle. They were pretty renowned blood traitors, and that was one of the first things Slytherins learned, regardless of their opinion on the matter, upon entering Hogwarts. But Kevin wasn't like most Slytherins - and they reminded him of it on a daily basis. Perhaps it was freeing, though. There was no point for him to pay much mind to the traditions of his house, when he was already breaking one of the most sacred traditions by existing. It let him make different kinds of friends.

He didn't befriend Ginny because of who her family was - he wasn't that shallow. He befriended her because she was funny and outspoken, and he didn't have a lot of friends like that. Well... most of his friends were like that - he just didn't have a lot of friends period.

He pulled his butterbeer closer to himself. "Okay," he said. "Hogwarts does a Valentines feast every year." It would be most of the same as it was every year too, but Kevin hadn't gone to it since his third year. "It's the same every year. So I'm offering you a proposition. We should make it different. We should pull a prank, and shake some stuff up for some people. The best way to do that without getting caught is to charm something else to do the work for us."

Ginny sat back in her seat and looked at him with wide eyes. "PRANK..." Noticing she had said it a little loud and got in close to whisper back to him. "Prank the Valentines feast? That is bloody brilliant! This is why I like you so much. You feed my inner love of pranking and having a good laugh." She lowered eyes as she started to think of ways they could do something without being caught. That is why she loved her twin brothers so much, they were masters of pranking and not getting caught. She hoped she learned all she could from them.

"It should be kept in theme. Like with hearts or..Oh!" She wiggled in her seat as an idea popped into her head. "We make cupids. And have them shoot little bows and arrows." She nodded and smirked as if she was proud of herself. "It would be funny but making cupids might be a little hard." She looked out to the crowded bar to see if she could find something to influence her.

Kevin didn't care near as much about pranking as Ginny did. But it was always fun to watch that fire light up her eyes at the prospect of pulling off a prank. She had the theatrics for it, he just had the mind that could take it apart and figure out how to make it work. And watching Ginny throw herself into anything, brought a sheepish smile to Kevin's face.

"Okay, but how about this. We don't have to create anything. We find something that's already been fashioned, yeah? And use magic, you're a witch, love, let's bloody use it. You find what you want to use, we find multiples of it, and I'll come up with a charm to bring it to life. We won't create cupids, we'll turn things into cupids. Slight distinction there, but a distinction nonetheless."

Ginny turned back to look at Kevin as she raised her butterbeer to her lips. Something they don't have to create. Then it came to her and she lowered her bottle to the table. "I have an idea on what that might be." She wiggled in her seat at the thought and smiled again.

"One year during Christmas we didn't have the Christmas angel but we have loads of Garden Gnomes. So we stunned one, dressed it as an angel and had him as our angel. We can do that but with cupids. I am sure we can charm some wings to make them fly." Her other thoughts turned to where they might find garden gnomes, but there were houses nearby. Maybe they could find a nest? "Yay? Nay?"
