Entry tags:! log, 1998-january, character: morag macdougal

Who: Morag MacDougal and Lena Renaud
What: Making out in the library. Probably talking, too.
Where: Deep in the stacks.
When: Evening of Jan 20
Rating: Low-ish
Status: Complete

Morag made her way to the library and, checking to make sure there was no one watching, made her way deep into the stacks. The section on the Goblin rebellions really was a rather ideal spot. She just hoped no one else ever decided the same. She ran a hand through her hair as she waited for Lena. She was glad Lena had remembered they'd been dating for a month. Morag had lost track of the time. And with the death of Lena's uncle under mysterious circumstances, it was a wonder either of them had thought about it.

She didn't like thinking that his death was connected to that list. Lena was on that list, too. Certainly she and Zoe and the other students on the list had the relative safety of Hogwarts right now, but they were finishing school at the end of term, Morag took a deep breath and did her best to push the thought from her mind.

Creeping slowly, Lena made her way up behind Morag, then gently covered her eyes with both hands and brushed her lips over Morag's neck softly. "Guess who," she whispered in Morag's ear.

She had meant what she said to Zoe, that this really was sort of terrible timing. She felt a bit guilty, to at once be so sad that her uncle was dead, and yet so happy that she was falling in love. But Morag was sort of the perfect distraction, keeping her from wallowing in grief.

She pulled back enough to turn Morag in her arms, then pushed her back against the shelves behind her and leaned in, her whole body pressed up against Morag's as she kissed her.

Morag stiffened for a moment until lips brushed against her neck. "Hello to you, too," she whispered.

Getting pushed up against the stacks was...exhilarating. She ran her hands through Lena's hair as they kissed. It was good to be able to get away from everything just for a moment. Kissing Lena was...amazing. She felt like she was flying.

When she broke the kiss, she leaned her forehead against Lena's and smiled.

"This was a good idea," Lena said, keeping her voice low. She left her arms around Morag's waist, nuzzling her lightly. "Merlin, it's like I forget, for a moment, how beautiful you are and then I see you again, and..." She pressed a hand to her stomach, demonstrating the butterflies Morag caused.

"Will you come visit again, over Easter?" she asked impulsively. "I really liked having you there, at nights. Hannah and Megan and Susan, they're nice enough for roommates, and Zee's the best sister ever, but I don't want to wake up, roll over, and smooch any of them awake."

Morag smiled and chuckled softly. "You're rather stunning yourself," she said. "It does feel like it's almost a dream, at times."

Morag's eyebrows went up at the request, and her whole face lit up. The bit about being woken up via kissing made her blush. "I'd really, really like that. And I must admit I've no interest in smooching any of them, either."

"You better not want to smooch any of them," Lena teased, feigning outrage and tickling Morag. Over the holidays she'd heard Morag laugh more and more often, and usually she herself had been the cause. It had quickly become her favorite sound.

"Spend the whole hols with me," she said. "Or... maybe I could come meet your family for part of it." She leaned in for another kiss, deeper this time. Kissing this deeply was new for them, and Lena found it incredibly thrilling.

She squirmed as Lena tickled her, and she tried not to laugh too loudly.

Morag didn't reply immediately. She was too wrapped up in the kiss. She'd found that when they kissed like this, she could really get lost in the moment. It felt amazing. The most amazing feeling she'd ever felt. Thus far, anyway.

When she broke the kiss, she said, "...I think I'd like to try splitting it..."

Lena bit her lip, careful not to over react and freak Morag out. "I get to meet your dad, and brother?" she said, back to whispering. "That's awesome, baby. Thank you."

A sound came from the end of the aisle and Lena froze, yanking Morag behind her quickly. It turned out to be nothing more than a first year, passing by. He nodded politely to Lena, the only person he could see, then kept on walking. Letting out a breath, Lena relaxed.

"Hid ya," she grinned sheepishly.

"Lindsay will be ridiculously happy to meet you, I think," Morag said, smiling slightly. "He's...really happy I've found someone."

Morag felt a rush of adrenaline as Lena jerked her behind her. She leaned her head against Lena's shoulder and took a deep breath. "Thanks. That was quick thinking."

"Anything for you, my darling," Lena said. "But I don't think we can hide out here for much longer. One more kiss..." She stole it right after saying it, kissing Morag deeply and passionately - and taking her own breath away in the process.

"And now we have to go and face the world again," she went on. "You ready?"

That last kiss definitely took Morag's breath away. One for the road was definitely worth it.

"I think so," Morag said. "Should hold us for a while, at least."
