There was really nothing better than a nice greasy spoon as far as Marcus was concerned. Cheep, cheerful fare at a marginally questionable cafe was just the sort of thing that helped make a day and whilst Marcus might no longer be struggling to make ends meet there were certain things that just couldn't change. Entering the cafe, Marcus headed straight for the counter, pausing for a moment before going straight back to the usual.
In truth, Marcus had been keeping a bit of a low profile in the last week or so thanks to that ever so elequent article. He'd been upset, of course, the whole idea that anyone could possibly think of him in that manner had made his skin crawl and as much as he'd wanted to rant, rave and cal that bitch of a reporter out for exactly was she was, Marcus knew that it was going to hurt him. He wasn't completely stupid. It had helped that he hadn't found his damn journal right away either, so there hadn't been that risk of first reaction. The walls on his flat, however, had gotten the full brunt of his temper.
Nevertheless, he couldn't very well spend the next few months in the flat and had decided to spend a few hours in Diagon for a bit of essential shopping. He had, however, actually listened to advice and was therefore wearing a cap and glasses, just in case.
