Ginny wanted to be a coward. She wanted to hide until her stupidity blew over. But that wasn't her way. Granted, being jealous over what a guy did with his time wasn't her thing, either. She hadn't had that issue for a very long time, and she was completely thrown that she felt it about Marcus Flint and his date with Pansy Parkinson. She felt like such an idiot, and she felt so bad for raining that down on Marcus.
Their conversation had confused her more than her feelings had. She didn't understand what was going on between them, and she was trying not to read too much into anything. Her conversation with Evan about his experiment had her questioning why she hadn't had a relationship, why she was feeling this way. She wasn't being completely honest with herself, about any of it. Which made it difficult for her to be completely honest with Marcus, and that wasn't fair. She hadn't lied. None of what she'd written during their conversation the day before was a lie. It just wasn't the full truth.
After her shower, she braided her hair and put on a nice but casual outfit. She wasn't sure if they would end up going out or staying at her place, so she'd stocked her fridge with the beer he had preferred the first time they'd spent time together. She still had pie that she had baked out of stress. If they stayed there, they had things. If things blew up, she had something to binge. She was nervous about a man coming to her apartment for the first time ever, but there was a first time for everything.
