Evan turned to Mary-Anne when she said she had only picked her costume yesterday. Inspecting what she was wearing, Evan frowned. "Is that it?" He asked confused. "It looks like just clothes," which it very well could've been, Evan had no idea. He couldn't fault Mary-Anne for evidently not have gone with the 'covered in paint' look. Not that Evan was particularly convinced he could currently even call it a look.
At the suggestion of going as a painting, Evan nodded. "Yeah, I did think of that," he told her honestly. "But I'm not very good with colours?" Which his attempts with red probably illustrated quite well. Shading in black and white, that Evan could do, but colour was much harder in his opinion. "I just want--" There Evan paused, giving a frustrated sigh. "I just want it to be good," he said possibly more to himself than for Mary-Anne's benefit, but it was certainly true either way.
