Who: Ashleigh and Alicia Spinnet.
What: A walk in the countryside.
Where: Cumbria.
When: Saturday 3rd September, early afternoon.
Getting Alicia out of bed and showered on a Saturday - when she didn't have to get up for work - had involved a great deal of nagging and insistence on Ashleigh's part. Alicia had been in her new job for two full weeks, and staying with Ashleigh for three, and while Ashleigh knew (intellectually, if not emotionally) that wasn't enough time to get over Terence asking for a divorce, or a worsening of Alicia's depression, she considered it enough that a walk wasn't actually too much to expect from her sister. The walk was designed to help. Everything Ashleigh had done for the last three weeks had been designed to help - from the foods she'd made and tried to nag Alicia to eat, to her insistence that Alicia bathe and dress even on weekends. The walk was triply helpful, because exercise was recommended, natural beauty was supposed to be restorative and sunlight helped with vitamin D. There was even a waterfall at the end of the route Ashleigh had planned.
"Isn't this nice?" Ashleigh asked, as they paused at the top of an incline to take in the view. As well as it being helpful, she really did think it was nice. Beautiful, even. It would have been more beautiful without the sheep, and the sheep poo, but Ashleigh had worn sensible shoes and she had her wand if any animals came too close. "Shall we sit down here and have lunch? Or keep going?" Having lunch by the waterfall might be a bit soggy. Here would probably be better, so after checking there were no muggles around, Ashleigh cast a few cleaning and cushioning charms on the ground for them both. "Tell me about your new job," she said. "What's on the agenda for next week?"
