Instinctively, Lydia leaned in when Gilderoy spoke in hush tones, feeling as if she was receiving some wonderful secret. At his statement she couldn't help but beam, feeling somewhat closer to him as a person already. She wasn't aware of that fact before. It was like they had so much in common, both of their parents worked in bookstores, and they were both Ravenclaws. Lydia wasn't a writer but still, who knew what her future entailed. "I didn't know that. That's quite exciting! I love being around books, there is just something special about them, but I'm sure you know that I mean." She was talking to one of the book experts after all.
Lydia stared at the quill for a moment before reaching out and grabbing the item, wondering if as soon as she touched it, it would disappear. Thankfully it did not and she smiled as she took it. Holding it away from Westley she looked over at the writer and smiled, "It's wonderful thank you ever so much. I'll be sure to keep it in a place of honor. That really is a very thoughtful thing of you to do. All your fans are surely going to appreciate it." He really was a caring man wasn't he? He seemed to take the time out for everyone and that's what a true celebrity should do. "I can't imagine how you have time to respond to everyone! You must never sleep!"
