WHO: Neville Longbottom and Daisy Potter
WHEN: Evening, January 12
WHERE: Neville's flat
SUMMARY: Neville provides some company and comfort to Daisy
RATING: Low. Probably.
CHALLENGES: Bingo: Your Conscious, A friend
Neville was just being a good friend, Daisy reminded herself for the umpteenth time as she poured another round of shots of Ogden's Old for a trio of Magpie supporters. She flashed them a quick grin as she passed the shots around, begging off when they tried to get her to do one with them. She was trying to behave tonight, contrary to popular belief. Plus, her uncle had been prowling around the bar all night under the guise of 'helping' out, but she was pretty sure it was to keep an eye on her. Since Daisy didn't actually feel like talking about her feelings, especially with family, she acted like everything was okay and definitely flirted with some of the cute customers... all while watching the clock and turning her head to see who was coming in. Finally. Finally, Neville walked into the pub and even Daisy couldn't ignore the way her stomach seemed to instantly fill with butterflies as soon as she caught sight of him. "I'm officially off," she told the other bartender, slipping out from behind the bar and digging through her pockets for a few coins. "Give me a bottle of vodka. Something decent, it doesn't have to be top shelf, but nothing from the well either." She had no intention of staying at the Hounds Pint to drink because she fully intended on forgetting that the entire day existed, but she very well couldn't do that with Sirius looking over her shoulder. Meddler. "Evening, Neville," she gave her (brother's) friend a smile, slightly more honest than the ones she'd been bandying about all night, "you really didn't need to come pick me up. But thanks." |
