She almost sounded disappointed, but Axel tried not to let it get to him. After all, he was Axel King--he didn't care what anyone thought of him or if someone didn't want him there. He did what he wanted. And what he wanted was to help out his friend. And maybe show off a little in front of the girl, but that was beside the point. The point was helping a friend. Because that was the kind and thoughtful thing to do, even when said friend was very stubborn and insisted on doing everything herself. Clearly Ashleigh just needed to learn how to accept help, and that's what Axel was there to do.
"Sure, I could drink coffee." At the very least, coffee could be their temporary distraction, because was it just him or was there something...palpable in the air? It could very well have had something to do with what she was wearing, but also definitely wasn't that because Axel had far more control over himself than to lose his mind over a (shapely) woman in leggings.
"Wow, you really got started already, didn't you?" he said when he saw the rest of the flat. It really didn't look like she needed any help, making him wonder if she was really going to let him do anything at all, and that was disappointing. Even if he didn't actually have anything to show off, he still would have liked to do something more than watch her wave her wand around.
