He leaned into her slightly, not too much to weigh heavily on her but enough to let her feel as though he was depending on her. Frank didn't want to appear helpless, but he love to indulge in his wife's comfort. He turned and shifted against her, laying down and resting his head against her chest. While he was always affectionate with Alice, be it at home or out in public, this vulnerability was something only she was given.
"Maybe," he said quietly. He didn't want to change what he did, persay. He just wanted both his job and his family. Being an Auror was an honor, but it didn't compare to being a dad. Even so, it was the job he knew and he was good at it. This was a very difficult position to be in.
There was something he noticed in the way she was responding to him. She was comforting him, reassuring him of their son's love and adoration. That put his mind at ease somewhat, but she wasn't talking about herself. Frank knew Alice had been struggling and internalizing, and he didn't like it. "I'm not unhappy, I'm just.. frustrated." He nuzzled her shoulder. "But I can't be happy unless I know you're happy," he said. "What's bothering you, love?" His tone was very tender, and he'd made sure to put himself in a position where she'd feel she had more control of the situation and might feel better about expressing what was on her mind. He didn't want to appear confrontational about it and put her on the spot. Frank just didn't want her to keep it all inside.
