Something Rose noted was the fact that he had a reddish tint to his hair. Not the bright red of hers, though no one but Weasley's seemed to quite pull that particular shade, but it was still...at least bronze. And he had freckles, which she found attractive. Despite her red hair, she didn't have freckles at all, something she assumed she inherited from her mother. She'd always been jealous of the cousins who got freckles. It was easy, in that moment, to like Rylan. There wasn't anything she could really see right off that would make her uncomfortable. In fact, she'd been very nervous until she saw him, but it didn't seem quite so hard now, this little meeting. Perhaps this would be easy...maybe they could grow to find every happiness in this marriage.
She smiled, liking his little story. The sooner they began getting to know one another and their preferences, the easier this would be, "Okay then, Rye...you can call me Rosie if you'd like, but I don't really have a preference...when people are sore with me, they usually just tack on my middle name, Nathalie," she offered, grinning a bit as she thought of her Mum yelling up the stairs at her when she was a child, and the way it had always made her feel so small. It was a strange thing to smile about, but Rose was finding she missed being a child. It was easier...to have your parents do all the worrying for you, "It's a pleasure, Rye. Oh, you're not late. I was just quite early. I always liked coming here to sit and think, and this," she indicated what he called a milkshake in a bowl, "is what usually happens. Perhaps I should just order a milkshake and save myself the trouble," she pondered with a grin, finding it was easy to fall into conversation with him.
Rose hadn't really thought about this process as dating. They were skipping that point of the relationship and going straight to marriage as far as she could tell. The dating would come after the vows were exchanged. They probably wouldn't have much time to get to know one another before they were expected to comply with the Ministry mandate. Surely they would have dates though? But they would just be different than what Rose had always expected them to be like. She merely gave him a smile as he took the seat, running his hand through his hair? Nervous habit? She always fidgeted...tucking her hand behind her ear or twisting her hands.
At the mention of her surname, she laughed with a broad smile. She loved her family more than almost anything else, it was easy for her to talk about, "I have a younger brother named Hugo. My father had six siblings...one passed in the war, but all the others married. The other Weasley's are my cousins, and so are the Potter's. There are...sixteen of us, I think." She spoke fondly, the love for her family obvious in her tone, "Is your family very large?" she questioned innocently.
