WHO: Richard Harrow & OPEN
WHEN: Thursday Night
WHERE: The park
WHAT: Getting away from all the stuff he doesn't understand
RATING: Low (might be some awkwardness - Richard emobodies it)
NOTE: Forgive all the full stops in his speech - the poor bloke can't help it.
It wasn't that the people in the area weren't helpful or friendly, or even that Richard didn't want to interact with them. The fact of the matter was that he didn't know how. Whether it was 1921 or 2011, Richard still had his reservations about approaching people. The first thing they noticed was the mask and that set them on edge. The fact that he didn't know what to say to them only put them more on edge and he didn't like it.
Snow made sense. So did the trees. There weren't any dogs or hunters this time - everything was too artificial for that and he wondered how the people of 2011 could stand to live in such a concrete and plastic world. In a lot of ways it didn't seem right. Even the park bench was made of harsh metal, not unlike his mask. And those thoughts were what sent his hand directly to the colt hidden beneath his coat and holstered at his hip. Running his fingers over it comforted him and he couldn't explain why. There wasn't anyone to use it on here. So far.
If he was going to have to, he was going to have to. He wasn't sure if these were safer times or more dangerous ones.
