Notes : Buffy wants to know if she can get one of those dress spheres of Yuna's. Yes, this note has nothing to do with anything in this post, but there you go.
Buffy had been sitting in her room feeling like utter crap for what had happened while she was under that enchantment. She had hurt people, some innocent ones at that, because of it all. She could still remember those poor guys she had essentially sent to the hospital with the magic she happened to have that night. It was magic she couldn't remember now, so at least she knew her spell casting days were over. That was fine with her. She wasn't built for that kind of life. She was Miss Slays A Lot, a title that involved less magic and more stabbing. But at least now she had an idea of just what kind of power Willow had and how desirable it was to use it. That other self of hers had found the power so intoxicating that even now, Buffy had little fragments of herself missing what she could do. It was an eye opener to be sure. Not one she really wanted but at least it was something she could take from the experience besides guilt.
With a silent promise that she'd go check on those guys, Buffy got up from her bed. It was dark and she needed to move or else she'd stay a moping log all night. If she got back in the game and patrolled, she might have something to take her emotions out on. After gathering her few meager slayer belongings, which consisted of her sword, a stake, and some holy water (she was still saving up for a crossbow) Buffy left her room, her intent to find something and kill it. In a good way, of course. While she'd been trekking her way back from the caverns, she'd actually stumbled upon a small group of vampires hiding out. Naturally it had led to a fight and she dealt with it well enough. Her only problem with the incident was that the vampires hadn't turned to dust. No, they had each done something different upon their deaths, but it mostly involved exploding in an extremely nasty and gory way. If that was one of the ways the vampires were going to work here, Buffy knew she was going to have to set aside an entire budget just for a slayer wardrobe, not to mention dry cleaning for the important stuff. But the real fact was, the surprise slay gig had been a reminder of what she needed to be doing. She was a hunter and she needed to be out there. She was starting to feel like a caged animal in a zoo when she needed to be in the wild and stalking her prey.
As she walked down the manor halls, lost in her thoughts, she found herself stopping in front of one of the doors. She tilted her head as she stared at the solid and finely crafted wood of the door. She knew it was Oliver's room (he wasn't the only one that could stalk) and she was reminded of his offer on the boards. Was it legit or was he just being polite? She lifted her hand to knock on his door but she hesitated, her thoughts second guessing her actions. Maybe she shouldn't bother him. It was stupid anyway. She needed to go and patrol not be 'Oh I'm so guilty please cheer me up' Buffy. The desire to retreat was strong but deep down she knew better than to cave. So she rapped her knuckles on Oliver's door and waited for him to answer. They could walk, she could secretly patrol (nothing ever happened IN town anyway), and they could talk. Win-Win.
Besides, a part of her was really hoping that when he heard her story he'd feel so bad that he would let her see any footage he had of him enchanted.
