The Players: Draco & Hermione
What: It would be you out of everyone, wouldn't it?
Where: some park in Red Oak.
When: October 29th, 2011//evening
Rating: PG/PG13.
Notes: Bloody hell.
Draco was adapting as well as could be expected he supposed. This place did take some getting used to though, and he was reminded daily of how very not home it was. He'd been to Metropolis to see what the big deal was, but Draco found he preferred the quiet of Red Oak in comparison. This muggle need for concrete was annoying. He'd been to London plenty of times, but never before had the buildings seemed to close in on him the way they did in Metropolis.
So the young Death Eater was keeping his distance from the city for now.
Sitting on a bench in one of Red Oak's small parks, the wizard was lost in thought. Dressed to blend in--apparently Potter's horrible taste in clothing had really been what these bloody people wore--he certainly looked the part even if he didn't feel it.
Still, he couldn't complain too much. He had tried a few spells and his magic still worked in this place, and here he didn't feel that connection to Voldemort that he had before. He still made sure to keep the long sleeves of the plaid over-shirt he wore down over his arm to cover the Dark Mark, but aside from that he was left with hardly any reminders of his failure and allegiance back home. All in all, this place could become home if he stayed long enough, and Draco was beginning to think he might not have a choice.
