Y Hallo Thar. I'm Rachel, and I bring you the fabulous not on steroids Chris Redfield!

For those not completely familiar with the Resident Evil series, he was apart of the original mansion incident in the Arklay Mountains. He's a former member of S.T.A.R.S, and is currently a member of the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance. His goal for the past ten plus years has been to bring down the Umbrella Corporation, their virus, and Albert Wesker. His canon starts a few months after the end of Resident Evil 5. So he's just returned from Africa where he and Sheva Alomar took on residents of the village of Kijuju, who were infected with a strain of the Las Plagas. In the process, he killed Albert Wesker for the zillioneth time, and is under the impression that he's dead. Again.

When he returned to the states, he heard that they rebuilt Raccoon City. He has a loyalty to the city and wanting to make sure that they're safe the second time around, so he's back in the city on his own will. That and apparently the teleporter wouldn't work for him anyway?

I just finished up his Wiki, so if you wanna read the whole back story, which is slightly lengthy considering he was technically in 4 games if you count the Umbrella Chronicles and/or Code Veronica, it's there for your entertainment.

My AIM is srslypotter and I'm looking forward to seeing how this goes! :)

I own 4, heh. I own pretty much all the games, except Umbrella Chronicles and 5. But I have played 5--fiance works at a games rental place, so he's brought it home often.

Reason why we don't play 4 often is that the fiance isn't as fond of it. He prefers the more survival horror feel of earlier games to the semi-action, semi-survival horror feel of 4. He does still play it from time to time, though.

Ahhh ok. LOL. Umbrella wasn't bad. It was kinda cool to play some of the levels from Wesker's side of things and have all the games (sans 2) line up with each other for continuity purposes. I just started playing 5 over the weekend. I don't have an xbox or a ps3, so in order to play it I have to go to my cousin's. He was all kinds of excited to play with me, and we finished the first level and he was like "ok we're going to skip like 5 levels to this one" and I'm just all dude. I want to see the story. lol. So pretty much all I know about 5 I've learned from the RE wiki.

Which, in turn, completely spoiled me for the epicness that eventually happens. But whatever. I just won't flail as hard when it does. (I don't know how much of the game you/others have played so I don't want to give it away unless you want me to lol).

I've had a little bit of it spoiled for me already, but not too much. I can't wait to see more of it. We're just waiting until after exams are over to play more. Having the game in the house would be a total time-suck. Heh.

It's bad enough I'm all hyped for roleplaying and not writing out my Modern British History notes.

I would take a guess in saying RPing >>>>>>>>>>> Modern British History. I'm so glad I'm done with school lol.

It depends. I love learning the stuff. I don't exactly love studying for the exams. Exam is tomorrow morning at 9:00. Then I have a literature exam at 2:00pm.

I'm in the third year of my BA, but I'll be going on to do post-grads. I'm pretty much a career student, hah.

Right now, RPing is totally winning. Which is alright, because I've just come back from a gaming hiatus and really am only in the one community (this one). So it's not like I can get over-preoccupied. I'm tempted to go on an application spree, though. Willpower, willpower!

It took me 7 years for my BA. Long story, got jerked around a few times with my major, university said "you've been here too long we're not giving you anymore money so either graduate or gtfo." So I graduated with a completely different degree then what I started with. lol. Needless to say, I was a bit burnout with school. I'd love to go get my masters. I just don't know in what yet.

I'm in two, but the other is slowish. So giving time to both won't be too much of an issue. I'm trying to get back into the swing of RPing. A game I was in for almost 3 years finally kicked the bucket and I haven't been able to find a good game to hold my interest since. They tend to die after I join. Hopefully these ones won't.

Yikes. Sorry to hear about getting jerked around. University admin can be such..awful, awful people sometimes. I am so glad that my particular campus is very good at providing for students' needs.

I actually haven't gamed much on LJ/IJ/etc--usually, in my gaming past, it's been message boards and such. So this is a bit of a new experience for me, but I like it.
