Jernik was born to an eleven mother and human father. His father died while away in battle and his mother did her best to raise him in a community who thought him less and felt sorry for her. Now at the age of eighteen Jernik is on his own in the world and trying to find his place. It's during an adventure that he came across a wounded Orc and in the process of nursing him back to health the two develop a relationship. It's just one more thing that those he was raised with would turn their nose up at.
