A "reunited lovers" line?

Regular version: She thinks he's dead, and he's been missing for several months or longer, but it turns out he had amnesia and now that he's remembered he's come back to her again.

Supernatural version: Again she thinks he's died, but he shows up one night at her door (after a shorter period of time probably), only now he's a vampire (and wants to spend forever with her).

I'd also be open for a long-term line where my girl loses her memory and your guy has to slowly help her remember her life and their love, etc.
