There was the mere hint of a pout when Drew pulled back. Simon had planned on giving him a Christmas morning to remember, it was why he had cast some strong silencing charms the night before and locked the door so there would be no interruptions. Not that his parents were likely to do so, given that Simon's area of the house was almost self sufficient, but he wasn't taking chances.
However, when Drew started talking the pout faded into a soft, tender expression. "I love you too, Drew," he took the gift and leaned over to brush his lips against his boyfriend's before turning his attention to the package. Quickly he opened it and when he realised what it was, Simon's eyes went wide. He swallowed and looked at Drew. "Drew... You..." Simon blinked, feeling overwhelmed. His hands shaking a little, he picked up the ring and then smiled a little shyly. "Shouldn't you put it on me?"
