They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks. I say that if you can't you're not trying hard enough.

In other words, I taught one of the dogs to fetch me a beer in exchange for bits of cheese as I restore an old Silver Arrow that some git left languishing out in the middle of an orchard for decades.

It is... coming along, as it were. The broom might be ready by the fall. Or I'll have to wait until next year to take it out.

The shaft is primarily made of aspen wood, inlaid with ebony and hornbeam.
