Well, let this be a lesson to all of you tender hearted people out there looking for love in all the wrong places:

When your boyfriend asks you if it's okay with you if he takes a spot on an American Quidditch team, you can say yes. However, you should probably consider the fact that he's probably not your boyfriend after that.

But it's okay to want nice things for people. It's okay to hope they succeed, even without you.

Rest assured, I kept the dog.

You could just avoid being tender-hearted and then you dodge the issue completely.

Or you know, don't date tossers.

Hey. Suggesting that I change my life outlook and become stone cold is something I tried. It's so boring.

He's still a friend. A good friend. Traitor friend.

I spent two weeks in Wales with my Grandma a few years ago and pretended to be someone else. It was taxing. I thought I wanted to be someone else. I didn't, I just wanted to drink a bottle of wine and ring my mum. I'm independent, see.

I'm so sorry, Matty. I can't believe he's gone off just like that. It's great for him, I suppose. But I can't believe he actually left.

I'm sorry as well, Heidi. He was just as much yours as he was mine. I do suppose we can't be thick about it. I told him to go.

Yeah, and maybe this will just be a funny story we all tell in twenty years, but it doesn't feel that way. It feels like he's really gone.

I asked him not to go, but I understand why he had to. It is a big step up for him. I'm just going to miss him.

They've disconnected his flat from the Floo. I just tried. I wouldn't suggest it. It's not fun. It's a huge step for him, and I wish him nothing but luck but I also wish him suffering, sadness and a lack of appetite.

Maybe both. I think there's truth in saying that things can happen so fast that you lose your footing. Good for him. He's going to be a superstar.

Ah, well, at least you are able to see positives and negatives? This is healthy. It is OK to be angry or sad as long as you can see past that, after all. Though I am sorry that you have to be sad.

Oh, I'd feel so awful if I couldn't be sad about it. Sadness is cathartic. Having a good cry can really be a thing that sets you free.
