I've been thinking of getting myself and Iris a pet for some time now. I was going to take her to Eyelops the other day, but everything was overrun by pixies. It's absolutely devastating the damage caused. I'm thinking a cat could probably wait for next week. That said, I'm also looking into adopting if anyone has recommendations for a shelter or someone looking to rehome. Must be good with children with sticky hands.

Why did we keep it a secret, you mean? She wasn't willing to make a choice, and I didn't want it to end. We were both selfish.

I don't wish to take back the time with her, but I do wish we could have done it differently. And that's my fault.

No one can blame you for loving her. And it was always going to hurt people. But there could have been more dignity to it, I agree.

What do you do now?

Well thank you for that, at least. Some people think I can just switch it off. Believe me, I've tried, it doesn't work.

I don't really know. Try to get on with my life and hope this blows over soon?
