INJURIES
1 - No Injury - Self-explanatory.
2 - Negligible Injury
Examples: Light bruising, shoving and jostling from another player.
3 - Minor Injury
Examples: Sprains, a glancing blow. Something you’d say “ouch” to and can shake off without treatment.
4 - Moderate Injury
Examples: Injuries that require treatment from team medical staff on the sidelines; a SINGLE broken bone (multiple would be a 5), a cut, a pulled muscle or similar strain, dislocated joints. Players only return to the pitch with the consent of the attending medical staff.
5 - Major Injury and removed from play
Examples: Multiple broken bones, torn muscles or ligaments, severe bludger damage/bruising, any head injuries.
6 - Major injury and removed to nearest hospital
Examples: Concussions, a fall from a broom (regardless of pain levels, will be admitted for observation), suspected internal organ damage, major head injuries. Either of those last two WILL result in a player missing the next week for recovery and the requisite loss of CP to their team.
PLEASE NOTE:In the case of a moderate injury that requires the attention of the team's Healer or Physio, a time out will be called for the player to go to the sidelines to be healed or strapped up. They will then be sent back onto the pitch and play will resume after this treatment, once the medical staff have given the all-clear. Players who are removed from the game are not replaced by their respective reserve player, as per the rules on page 28 of Quidditch Through The Ages. Any hospital stay over 2 days will require the player to miss the next game; a reserve will play in their stead, and this will result in the loss of one CP for the next week’s rolls. Any head injuries mean instant removal from the game. When your character reaches 20 injury points in total, they will miss the next game in order to recover. Again, a reserve will play in their stead, and this will result in the loss of one CP for the next week’s rolls. You can find the Injury Tally Sheet here. You can find the Dice of Death entry here if you're interested in taking your chances.
