Flashes of memories from last night slowly trickled into Roger’s mind throughout the day as he lay curled up on his couch, shoving his two knealzes off him for one one-millionth when they jumped on him for attention. His wrist stung angrily, which was to be expected considering he had decided to waltz into a tattoo shop and get… something… on his wrist while drunk; maybe it was a sub-conscious reminder for him to not be such an alcoholic? Around three in the afternoon Roger suddenly bolted up right (sending Kori, his female kneazle, scampering under the couch and hissing), his blue eyes wide with horror. Oh no… oh no he didn’t. His brain had just under covered another missing puzzle piece from last night: his interaction with Lia Moon. From what he could recall, between acting like a fool, he’d let his crush on her take over and proceeded to flirt with her in a very obvious manner. Clearly she didn’t appreciate it, because Roger seemed to recall her brother getting a bit over-protective.
With a groan Roger flopped backwards (which caused an even louder groan when his throbbing head hit the padded, but still firm, arm of the couch) and closed his eyes, body tingling with embarrassment. Jesus, what the hell was wrong with him? First his team was destroyed in a nine-hundred-and-forty point difference, he permanently marked up his skin with something that made no sense, AND he made a fool of himself in front of Lia… not to mention, failed to even attract her attention positively. Burying his head under a pillow, Roger wondered what his next plan of action would be: should he just swear off the Snitch, London, and lay low in Manchester or should he hold up his head and take responsibility for his stupid actions?
Deciding avoiding the problem is a cowardly way to handle things, Roger got up, took a shower and made himself look presentable (or as presentable as he could considering the raging hangover plaguing him). Quick apparition later and he appeared in the alley next to the Snitch. His heart hammering, he took a deep, calming breath, then walked to the door and walked in.
