RP: Interview and Dinner
Characters: Katie Bell and Roger Davies

Location: Muggle Restaurant

Summary: Katie and Roger go to dinner while she interviews him for The Prophet.
Completion: In-Progress

Katie chose a Muggle restaurant so that she could tape record the interview, since electronics and magic tended to hate one another. Because Roger was an old friend and lover, she didn't want to be writing the entire time. If she had her way, the interview would be over early, leaving room for other things.

She wore a simple red dress, her hair pulled back, and carried a large purse.

"Don't you look dashing?" She said, taking the recorder from her bag and turning it on.

Public appearances were always something of a spectacle for Roger, another moment to shine, be something other than an unknown in the background. Thus, he always made certain that regardless what it was he was doing, he always looked his best, and tonight's gray striped suit certainly fit the bill.

An interview with Katie was no different, even without knowing what was likely to happen afterwards. As he entered the appointed restaurant, it was quite easy to make out his date for the evening, and he made his way over. "Not quite as lovely as yourself," he said, giving a light kiss to the cheek. More would likely have been his preference, but they were in a public place, after all. He sat across from her, at ease. "How goes things at the Prophet?"

She smiled. "I do try," she teased, lifting her cheek for him to kiss. That was all the public affection, there were always reporters from Witch Weekly following the players. She had no respect for anyone from that publication. They weren't real journalists.

"Very well. You know me, always fighting to stay at the top. I'd love to see someone try to take me down a peg," she said with a wink. "And you? The season is beginning soon. Ready?"

"And just who would be able to do that, I wonder?" he asked with a smile. "Honestly, I have trouble believing that is even possible."

"Well, there's always room for improvement, of course, and good as I am, I'm nowhere near perfect, but I'm definitely going to be ready for the first match. Of course it does mean back into a routine of early mornings and long days, but that's not so bad. At the end of the day, I can look back and reflect, and say that it's all worth it. That sort of satisfaction is difficult to get anywhere else."

	Katie winked. Didn't he know it. After ordering, she went back into grilling him for the interview portion of their evening. . "Well, I can think of other things, but let's get on with this interview, shall we?" She winked and took a small drink. "Which team do you most anticipate facing off with this season?"
