This is another "fix-it" fic, which [info]xie_xie_xie (not, as you know, her real name) says are bad but I like. I wrote earlier my Season Two drabble series "fix-it" fic about how Brian got Justin a kitten and then they didn't break up in Season Two because, well, kittens are just that powerful.

Then I wrote my meta in which I explained about the two breakups in Season Two and Season Five being all about how Justin wanted pets and Brian wouldn't agree, so I have now begun this Season Five AU and it's a series about a puppy.

This is the first one.

Brian Says No to Justin

Brian watched Justin sketching angrily. Maybe, he thought, he was just channeling Rage.

But more likely Justin was seriously pissed off. At him.

He took a swallow of his beer. “Do you have any idea how much ItalianModa furniture costs? And what a puppy would do to it?”

Justin slashed a line across the paper, and didn’t answer.

“Not to mention peeing on the hardwood floors. Shedding hair on our clothes.”

Justin looked up. “Long walks in the park. Seeing a living being grow up. Playing ball with Gus.”

Brian put down his beer and went into the other room.

Puppies are very cute and when Brian gets one for Justin I'm sure we'll both feel better.

Never mind, we do like puppies. Not like Ellen and Portia's cats, who are just jealous.

More soon, please. We prefer it when Brian says Yes to Justin.

Sometimes I like "fix-if" fics better than the show... they don't make me cry because the guys broke up.

I'm looking forward to reading more. :D

go rebel! great fic! there is nothing cuter than a puppy and if brian knows what's good for him (or he ever wants another blow job) he better stop obsessing over hardwood and italianmoda.
