JR toddled into the bedroom, carrying a pile of books.
“Daddy will you read me a story?”
“Of course honeybun, which one do you want?”
He pulled back the covers as she snuggled between him and Ben.
“Not that spooky one where it’s midnight and everyone screams. I want the one with the pretty princess in the forest, where it’s windy and the leaves are blowing around”
Michael started reading, watching as JR’s eyes slowly closed and she drifted off to sleep. He looked at his daughter and husband and thought how lucky he was to have this perfect family.
