So I was innocently checking to make sure the little quotation mark thingies in a fic of mine that I posted at bjfic.net weren't messed up and I needed a new battery in my trackball so it was kind of jumpy and instead of clicking on my own fic it leaped up or down and clicked on a fic called "Fireside Chats."
And I glanced at it to see what it was and fangirls: IT IS 261 chapters long! I mean, I thought ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) vamphile's fics were long! I thought "Beyond the Yellow Brick Road" was long. TWO HUNDRED SIXTY ONE CHAPTERS!
Two hundred sixty one chapters of terrible, out of character, Bri-baby-sweetheart-Sunshine, long conversations about stuff we saw in canon and always wanted to have explained, talked about, analyzed, and have every last bit of mystery, uncertainty, subtlety, innuendo, shades of gray, metaphor, and complexity sucked out of and the pathetic lifeless frame flung on the loft floor and ground into dust.
